Hosted VoIP for Business
Hosted “Voice over IP” (VoIP), in the form of hosted cloud or hosted PBX systems, has all the features of a traditional telephone system – but with considerable cost savings and added flexibility. Hosted VoIP is ideal for small and medium sized businesses as the set-up costs can be far less than a traditional PBX phone system, with lower phone bills and call costs going forward compared to a traditional telephone system.
You owe it to your business to find out how much a hosted VoIP phone for business system, like our NT Cloud solution, could save you!
How VoIP works:
VoIP takes your audio recording and turns it into digital signals then uses your broadband connection to send those signals as data. At the other end, the data is translated back into voice for your recipient. The experience for both users is exactly the same as normal telephone lines except that the conversation is conducted over the internet.
Benefits of a Hosted VoIP Phone system:
Cost savings and cheaper running costs – no ISDN phone lines, expensive hardware, specialised engineers or on-site PBX system required. As your calls will be conducted over the internet, you don’t need a traditional phone line. This consolidates your Internet Broadband with your voice communications, which we find usually results in a future-proofed system at no extra cost.
All calls within the system are free or cheaper – wherever you are – the office, home or abroad. The reason for this is that all your calls are included in your monthly broadband subscription. Calls are always cheaper to another VoIP phone and free between sites.
Access via smartphone. The office directory can be accessed by smartphones and provides the ability to make & receive calls as if you were in the office. All it needs is the VoIP system app, NT Cloud, installed on the business mobiles you wish to have access. Or VoIP can be used through your contract with Network Telecom.
Easy administration. Via the web-based NT Cloud portal, administrators can quickly configure the system according to your organisation’s changing requirements, while your employees have convenient access to information such as call history, voicemail and recorded calls.
Access from laptop, iPad, tablet or PC – a VoIP system gives you all of the telephony functions you need remotely so you never miss a call.
High definition voice quality – as high or even better than your current system.
Same features you already use such as voicemail, messaging, conference calls, call recording
Scalability – as your business grows, so can your phone system. All that is needed is the addition of extra extensions and handsets.
Extra features – such as extra telephone numbers, making and receiving simultaneous calls and many more.
Call routing, where incoming calls are intelligently transferred to your location or choice of device(s) before going to voicemail. This means that essentially your number follows you and is routed to your desk, mobile or the office you are working from, seamlessly.
High quality conference calls with unlimited people, with or without video conferencing.
Virtual numbers – you can have a local number with the area code of your choice. This means that if you have a number of customers in one geographical area, say, Birmingham, you can use a Birmingham area code and number. When one of your clients rings this number, it is automatically transferred to your phone, wherever in the world that happens to be.
Free site to site calls – even internationally.
Disaster preparation. Any disruptions to your business due to a disaster or adverse weather are a thing of the past. As long as you have access to the internet, call routing can be set up in the click of a button, meaning your business stays in business.
No additional hardware required, so no down time due to maintenance. Maintenance, repairs and upgrades are done over the internet – so no need for the potential security risk of maintenance people visiting your premises.

We understand that a cloud-based phone system can still be a confusing concept for some.
It’s in the cloud so what is actually installed?
Our hosted telephone systems are hosted across highly secure and resilient UK data centres. The only hardware at your office is a managed router, cabling, managed Network Telecom connectivity and a choice of HD quality handsets.
Can I use my PC & hosted phone at the same time?
Absolutely. In fact, a hosted phone system streamlines the work environment, helping you and your team multi-task. It can link with other applications like CRM systems. You can speak and simultaneously access other applications to transfer images, video and text documents.
Can a hosted phone system really save my business money?
Yes. It not only cuts your regular phone bill by slashing call charges – especially with free internal site-to-site calls – but it also saves you investing thousands to buy, install and maintain complex phone system hardware.
How secure are calls that are made?
Your security and data are of the utmost importance to us. Our hosted phone platform is a closed, data encrypted system. Therefore only users you authorise will be able to access it.
What do I need to make calls over the internet?
A broadband connection and an IP phone handset or softphone application installed on a PC or mobile device. Using a softphone solution also requires a headset that you can plug into your PC.
How does NT Cloud integrate my fixed and mobile devices?
NT Cloud conveniently integrates your fixed and mobile capabilities so that you never miss a call. Callers can dial one number to reach your desk phone and mobile phone simultaneously; you can move ongoing calls seamlessly from one phone to another without hanging up and both phones share a single voicemail box.
